Terms of Service:

 

BY AGREEING (clicking “I AGREE”) TO THESE TERMS AND PLACING AN ORDER YOU ARE ENTERING INTO A CONTRACT BETWEEN YOURSELF HENCEFORTH KNOWN AS “PURCHASER” AND WHITE AUTOMOTIVE AND MEDIA SERVICES THE “SUPPLIER”.

 


By Purchasing/ installing this Calibration and/or software (hereto known as "ECU or IPC"), as well as any other White Automotive and Media Services (hereto known as "WAMS") product you, the purchaser, are agreeing to the following conditions:

1.) ALL WAMS products are intended for off road use only.

2.) WAMS does NOT warranty the durability/longevity/effect of the ECU/IPC/Module Programming on any portion of the consumer’s vehicle. This includes but is not limited to:
a. Any and/all engine components
b. Wiring
c. Emissions
d. Engine failures
e. Loss of vehicle control
f. Instrumentation inaccuracies
g. Transmission failures
h. Factory warranty claims.
i. ECM/PCM/IPC hardware and/or related wiring

3.) WHILE WAMS products undergo considerable testing, all liability and any possible issues arising are implied to be at the consumer’s expense.

4.) WAMS will NOT be held responsible for any liability/detrimental effects/expenses that occur from installing the ECU Programming OR ANY OTHER WAMS PRODUCT.

 

5.) If you are not comfortable installing the item or items you purchased from WAMS DO NOT INSTALL THEM YOURSELF. Have a competent professional install them instead. WAMS is not liable for damages or any other condition resulting from improper installation of our products.

 

6.) WAMS Tuned ECM/PCM units may require a CASE Relearn, Security Relearn, Clutch Pedal Relearn or possibly all of the above.

 

7.) The ship time quoted on any ECM/TCM/PCM tune is for YOU shipping in YOUR ECM/TCM/PCM. You MUST ship in YOUR ECM/TCM unless you wish to pay a transfer and setup fee for salvage/used units. Ship time for spare ECM/TCM/PCM tunes can be subject to many factors. Please contact us FIRST if order timing is an issue! Spare units are also nonrefundable; if you place an order for one of these items and cancel you will be liable for the cost of the spare unit(s).

 

8.) Beginning July 1st 2011 due to the increasing difficulty of procuring ECM's resulting from the GM bankruptcy we will be switching from new to gently used ECM's for our tunes. All ECM's will have less than 10,000 miles on them and will include a one year warranty as well. These units may not be stocked and subsequently subject to a 30+ Day wait (but typically no longer than 90 days) so please plan accordingly.

 

9.) ALL Tune transfers must be from the same model year, trim level, engine and transmission. Otherwise you will need to pay for a full tune as it will require the work of a full tune.

 

10.) Fleet Vehicles: If you believe your vehicle may be a fleet vehicle (IE Ex rental car) please contact us prior to purchasing any of our programming items such as ECM tunes or BCM reprogramming as there may be limitations on what we can do to these vehicles outside the scope of the advertised product.

 

11.) Remote start - Please note that if you are purchasing a remote start retrofit (BCM programming) and your vehicle is not prepped for remote start you may have to ground pin(s) on the BCM to complete the install or install a factory hood switch. 

 

12.) If you supply us erroneous information for any sort of programming work we are not liable for the damages caused by information you supply. You will be charged to repair (if possible) any damaged components.   

 

13.) WAMS WILL NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES DELETE OR REMOVE ANY EMISSIONS CONTROL DEVICES OR PROGRAMMING FOR THOSE DEVICES. PLEASE DO NOT ORDER ANY OF OUR TUNES IF YOU ARE SEEKING TO DEFEAT ANY OF THESE SYSTEMS! WAMS WILL ALSO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES MODIFY ANY SORT OF ODOMETER OR WORK ON ANY MODULES THAT HAVE ODOMETER TAMPER FLAGS SET IN THEM.

 

14.) PLEASE NOTE: ALL G6/Malibu/Aura tunes are setup exclusively for CRABS intakes!  

 

15.) CANCELLATIONS: ALL Orders have a 48 hour cancellation window. ALL programming services are NON-REFUNDABLE as we have already allocated a slot for your items in our next batch thus turning away other work. We are not a charity or bank so PLEASE make sure you want this work completed prior to placing an order. If you attempt a chargeback or any other breach of contract we will aggressively pursue collection not only of the original funds but all fees (chargeback fee etc.) and legal costs associated with collection of aforementioned funds.  Orders for hardware are subject to a 25% restocking fee and orders for custom programmed hardware (situations where we are supplying the hardware pre programmed to you) are NON-REFUNDABLE as they are no longer “new”. We are happy to supply you with replacement hardware if the module we provided fails within the warranty period.

 

 

A note about order status indications. "Pending" means the order has been submitted but no payment has been received therefore will not be processed. "Confirmed" means the order has been received as well as payment and the order process has begun. "Shipped" means the order has been completed by us and has been dropped at a third party to be shipped out. The time between the "Shipped" indication and actual shipping may vary depending on the third parties shipping backlog. We will not have access to tracking numbers until at least the next weekend after your order has been marked as shipped so please keep that in mind.

 

 

VCIM/Bluetooth Retrofit Programming:

 

Please note that while we will complete our normal programming on your shipped in VCIM module it will REQUIRE OnStar to complete the setup and transfer on their end. At this point we have completed our service to you as it is out of our hands at that point and we have completed our work that we were paid for. It is solely up to the technician/rep on that particular call to transfer service and many do not know how to do it between generations of hardware and may require multiple calls to OnStar tech support as well as case escalation. 

 

 

Terms for IWM Remote System Rental:

 

The end user (renter) agrees to the following terms: Due to high demand the programmer must be shipped to the renter using an expedited shipping option such as Next or 2nd Day air; ground shipping unless the location is a two day zone or less from our location via UPS is not allowed.

 

The remote system must be in return transit to us no more than 48 hours from time of delivery or the renter agrees to pay a $50 per day penalty deducted from their deposit. The unit must be shipped back in ALL original packaging insured for $250 to the address on our website via UPS or FEDEX - NO USPS returns are allowed without forfeiting your deposit. When the unit is received back at our location within the allotted time period with no damage or evidence of tampering the renter will receive the entire $100 deposit refunded through our payment system. Refunds go out every ~60 days in batches just as the units do, please allow 60 days for a qualifying refund. Any deviation from the terms above will result in a forfeiture of your deposit. 

 

 

IWM Remote System Order cancellations:

 

You have 48 hours from time of purchase to cancel an IWM programmer rental, past that point there will be no refunds as the unit is scheduled at that point and likely already programmed with your VIN as well. Please note that there may be long wait times (60+ Days) depending on the amount of orders we have for IWM programmer rentals, if timing is an issue please email us BEFORE ordering to find out the current estimated lead time. 

 

Special order items are non-returnable and may take considerable time to ship depending on the item, it's status and any supplier backlog.  

 

 

IWM/XM retrofit radio shipping:

 

Please make sure to ship the radio to us UPS or FedEx insured only. Due to the delicate nature of the CD changer we do not recommended shipping USPS as we have seen them damage units in the past. The radio should be double boxed with the first box containing the radio silver box itself wrapped in bubble wrap inside of a larger double wall box lined with Styrofoam peanuts or equivalent. 

Global A Radio Unlocks:

Please note in the notes section if this is for a navigation retrofit. If it is for a Navigation retrofit unless otherwise specified we program for the FACTORY control panel. If you plan to use the factory appropriate (same model year, part number etc) Nav control panel please also note in the "notes" field. 

 

 

New ECM's, TCM's and Instrument Clusters are NON returnable after they are programmed. If there is an issue with one of these units it will be repaired or replaced depending on the situation. Repairs for these units may take up to 90 days depending on the issue with the unit and our current workload. Blank ECM's and TCM's may be returned within the regular return window as long as they have not been programmed.

 

 

Currently we are only open and processing orders on the weekends due to workload. The quoted processing time may or may not apply depending on the product and options you choose and when it's received. If an item is received for programming/overhaul/rework at our facility during the week it may take an extra weekend (IE over a week) to be processed.

To make sure all items are processed in the quoted ship in time the items must be to our UPS drop site by 9AM EST Friday the weekend following your order as that's when an appointment will be created for you.
