FAQ:
Q: Are these really brand new? The price is similar to used ones I’ve seen.
A: Yes — they are brand-new GM OEM units with full factory warranty.
Q:I would like to have my data transferred to the new BCM what do I need to do?
A: Choose the transfer option when ordering and ship your original BCM in following the shipping instructions on your order confirmation email immediately after ordering.
Q: How long will the transfer process take?
A: We give this process priority 1 here as we know your vehicle is down generally it takes 1-2 business days at most we generally try to get them out the next business day after we receive them.
Q: Do these units come programmed?
A: If you opt for the data transfer yes otherwise they ship blank/unprogrammed.
Q: Do I need to visit a dealer to install or after installation?
A: Unless you opt for our data transfer these units will ship blank/unprogrammed. In this instance a dealer or shop with Techline connect will need to program and setup the BCM. If you opt for the data transfer the unit will be plug and play.
Q: Are these used, salvage, or core parts like others online?
A: No. Every WAMS module is brand-new OEM, never used, salvage, or refurbished.
Q: Is there a core charge? Do I need to return my old BCM?
A: No core charge and no return required. We do recommend responsibly recycling your old module.
Q: How do I confirm this product fits my vehicle?
A: Locate your BCM and verify that it matches the unit shown in the photos; seven connectors with a white label on it and manufactured by Bosch or Continental. Do not worry about the part number — WAMS supplies the correct superseded number for your VIN. If your BCM is all black with laser etched information on it and says “Denso” on it this is a Global B BCM and is not compatible.
Q: The bag was opened when I received my unit. Is that normal?
A: Yes. Some units arrive in sealed bags, but we must open them to program and test each module prior to shipment.
Q: Will this fix the issue I’m having?
A: Possibly — but we can’t diagnose your vehicle remotely. The BCM controls numerous subsystems, and some symptoms can originate elsewhere. We strongly recommend professional diagnosis before ordering, as modules are VIN-specific, non-returnable, and warranty-registered to the VIN used on the order.
