This is a factory new 8″ Replacement Screen with Radio Controls for your 2014-2018 Sierra / Silverado. These units are plug and play, ready to install in your vehicle and are available in both factory control backlight colors (Red or Blue / Green).
When the original units fail they are best known to cause “Ghost” or “Phantom” inputs/touches/scrolling.
Backlight Coloring would be Red for 2014-2016 GMC Sierra and Blue / Green for 2017+ Sierra as well as ALL Silverado.
PLEASE NOTE THE REAR SEAT ENTERTAINMENT (RSE) UNITS WILL NOT WORK IN A VEHICLE WITHOUT RSE!! PLEASE VERIFY YOU HAVE RPO U42 ON YOUR RPO LABEL IN YOUR GLOVEBOX IF YOU INTEND ON PURCHASING ONE FOR RSE. RSE INCLUDES A REAR ROOF MOUNTED ENTERTAINMENT SCREEN AS WELL AS A FRONT DVD/BLURAY PLAYER. CONVERSELY A NORMAL SCREEN WILL NOT WORK IN AN RSE EQUIPPED VEHICLE.
Please make sure you have your vehicle properly diagnosed prior to purchase to make sure you are truly replacing the correct part. We do open and test each one of these prior to shipping to confirm proper operation and function.

After driving my 2015 Silverado LTZ for two years with a flaky touchscreen, I bought a supposedly working used unit online and quickly discovered the fallacy in trusting sellers who really have no clue what they’re selling. Got my money back and bought a new genuine replacement from WAMS and it worked perfectly; unlike the failed attempt with the used unit. Only took 20 minutes from start to finish to replace the defective original unit with this new unit. Simple and easy to do after watching a few YT videos. Fingers crossed the new units have a longer lifespan than the originals. Will definitely use WAMS should the need arise in the future.

My part came about a week after placing the order. It was brand new and packaged securely. Unfortunately, I still had the same issue of the radio not working with no display or sound. Wish there was a way to recoup some of the money spent, but I understand their policy.
