Upgrade your 4” IO4 radio-equipped Silverado or Sierra (K2) to the factory 8” IO5 or IO6 infotainment system — complete with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto — using this genuine WAMS-spec upgrade kit.

Each kit includes:

• A brand-new 8” touchscreen display

• A brand-new GM HMI (Human Machine Interface) module

• A brand-new GM Radio/ACM module, custom programmed to your vehicle’s VIN for true OEM plug-and-play operation

This package is designed to bring your 2014–2016 Silverado or Sierra up to modern OEM specification with full CarPlay and Android Auto support — exactly as if it had left the factory that way.

To complete the installation, you’ll also need to choose a USB hub from the drop down. The non SD card portion is the venerable GM part # 13519224 that we have recommended for years. The SD card slot version is a version that while cheaper performs the same but the SD card slot is not functional making it operationally the same as the two port version. This replaces your older, non-CarPlay compatible hub.

If ordering a Navigation-equipped HMI for a vehicle that didn’t originally have navigation, you’ll also need a GPS antenna or OnStar splitter harness — we can help you source these components if needed.

Important notes:

• Vehicles without OnStar hardware (RPO UE0 OnStar Delete) require custom programming — contact us before ordering.

• If you are buying this for an IO4 vehicle you MUST choose the BASE RADIO selection with whichever HMI you want. There were no IO4 vehicles built with the Bose radio however we leave those choices up as some people have purchased the kit after removing aftermarket infotainment and this is the simplest way to bundle it all.

• IO3-equipped trucks require an additional retrofit harness, not included in this kit.

• Always disconnect your battery before reinstalling programmed modules to minimize the chance of DTCs or electrical damage.

This is a complete, OEM-correct solution — not a salvage or repurposed kit — and every module is individually programmed for your vehicle’s build configuration by White Automotive and Media Services (WAMS).
