This product is 100% custom to your vehicle and options and can be tweaked for mods such as added OEM navigation, added front park assist, HUD hardware retrofit etc.
We setup all clusters for Navigation regardless as it will allow you to turn off the speed limit menus and simply enable them if you retrofit navigation. We’ve found this to be the simplest method to make everyone happy and negate the need to send the unit back for additional programming should you choose to upgrade down the line.
In order to Utilize the Music, Navigation (if Equipped) and Phone menus you will need to have an IOS or IOT radio; the IOR does not have the capability to drive those menus.

Please make sure you triple check your selected cluster before checking out as the system automatically places a paid order with the manufacturer. 2020,2021 and 2022 *EXPORT* High Country and Denali applications are currently backordered but will ship the second we get them. This product is NOT compatible with 2022.5 (Refresh) trucks. You can find more information on how to identify these particular vehicles in the FAQ.
Q: How does this work?
A: You place an order for a cluster using the menus above based on your market (US Spec or Export) model year (which must match your trucks model year), cluster type and engine/fuel type. Upon delivery simply plug the unit in and you’ll be golden; yes it’s really that simple.
Q: How do I know which radio I have?
A: By scanning for the QR code on your build label (likely located in the drivers door jamb) and looking for one of the three radio types in these particular vehicles which are: IOR (7″ or 8″ Base Radio), IOS (8″ Midlevel without Navigation) or IOT (8″ Uplevel with Navigation). NOTE: The Speed Limit display requires navigation to drive it. Knowing this is no longer a requirement to order however you should know what radio you have in order to know what to expect feature wise.
Q: Can you do this for Export (Metric clusters)?
A: Yes we can supply them as well via the drop down.
Q: Can you put a Denali Cluster into a Chevrolet or a High Country Cluster into a GMC?
A: Yes we have developed a ways to keep all of the gauges looking proper and have the proper startup/welcome logo and vehicle pictures in this situation. If you do this you’ll need to purchase the expanded menu set option. Also the Denali cluster physically has a “GMC” on the tachometer bezel so keep that in mind when considering doing this.
Q: What does “NO AUTO STOP” mean in the cluster selection?
A: This selection is for applications that do not have Auto Stop such as heavy duty gas trucks with the L8T 6.6L engine, those trucks built during the 2021/2022 model years that had an optional (or forced) Auto Stop delete or the lower trim trucks without Auto Stop. You can identify if you have one of these by looking at your tachometer and if you DON’T have a marking labeled “AUTO STOP” these are the clusters you are looking for. There are no “Non Auto Stop” units available for the 2019 model year as these clusters were not used with any engines that did not have Auto Stop functionality however the auto stop clusters work just fine in that instance.
Q: I saw this list goes to 2022 is that the new ALL digital 12.3″ Screens in the new refreshed trucks?
A: No. While these are still model year specific 2022 here refers to the pre 2022.5 refresh “limited” trucks which are basically carry over 2021’s with 2022 VIN’s.
Q: Will this work in my new 2022.5 refresh truck?
A: No this product is specifically for the 2019-2022 T1 trucks if you have a 2022.5 this is not the product for that application. You can verify you have a 2022.5 if you have the “new refresh” 1500 version truck or simply check your RPO’s for “J22” or if the last 8 of your vin starts with “NG5” or “NZ5”. While there are some lower trim level 2022.5 Trucks that appear to have the previous generation interior/electronics this is not the case as everything electrical subsystem wise is completely different and not compatible. This WILL work for all 2022 and 2023 2500/3500’s.
Q: Ok can you make the 2022.5 12.3″ unit work in the 2019-2022 trucks?
A: No. Those utilize an entirely different electrical architecture.
Q: Will I lose any features?
A: No you should not lose any features that you had before however due to changes in operation certain functions may operate differently and we’ve tried to detail any of those here in these FAQ’s.
Q: Will I gain any features?
A: You may gain some features as the Denali/High Country clusters have slightly different menus. We can also enable things you have added such as indicators for front park assist or the Navigation menu if you have added factory navigation which is why we ask for those of you with the IOS radio. If you have added FACTORY options that your truck didn’t have please put what you have added in the notes section.
Q: Can you delete warning indicators for items I may have removed from the Vehicle??
A: Yes we can, this would all be custom and priced as such, contact us for details.
Q. What Menus are included in the Expanded Menu Set?
A: A true un buffered/unscaled coolant temperature readout. The factory gauge is heavily buffered/skewed; This reads true coolant temp. Top consumers: Shows which features currently being used are costing you fuel economy; and how much. Economy Trend: Shows fuel economy on a scale of 0-30 MPG over the course of 30 miles. Individual Oil Temp and Oil Pressure Readouts. A combined menu that shows Oil Temp and Oil Pressure on one page. Performance Timer: Timer can be set from 0-60 or from any stop/start point you choose. Lap Timer (2020-21 only): Can be used to clock “laps” or any time between points/events. G-Force Meter (2020-21 Only): Shows instant and peak-hold Lateral and Longitudinal G-Forces exerted on the vehicle. Please Note: Not all engines and trim combinations support all of the features above; we do enable them all though. If one is not supported simply disable that menu from appearing. For example some HD trucks show -40 for Oil Temp as its not broadcast on the bus to read.
Q: What is the HUD Retrofit Option?
A: This enables the unit to drive a heads up display. Yes it can be installed no we do not provide support for that end of it but you should reach out to HarnessDr.com for wiring harness info to make that switch. If you have forward collision alert and are not 110% set on doing the HUD upgrade we recommend you do NOT choose this option as it will disable the LED Forward Collision Alert indicator.
Q. Why don’t you ask for my Mileage? What happens to my odometer?
A. Your odometer will sync to your vehicle at install at the correct current milage this plug and play with no user intervention required.
Q: What about my engine hours?
A: Generally these are reset to zero. These are not required at a federal or state level however if you wish to keep them we need a report from a dealership using GDS2 software showing both your total AND idle hours; we will not program them without the report. The hours should be noted on the order and a copy of the report scanned and emailed to us for record keeping.
Q: Do I need steering wheel controls to use this cluster?
A: Yes you need factory (or properly retrofit) steering wheel controls to interact with the menus on these units. Adding this cluster along with the proper steering wheel controls and harness from HarnessDR.com found HERE adds full audio steering wheel controls as well as cluster controls to boot to boot 7″ and 8″ IOR equipped trucks!
Q: My MPG/Range at install is WAY off is that normal?
A: Completely Normal! The new cluster has no baseline yet. You should start to see it normalize (or be close to completely normal) after one full tank of fuel has been consumed and the vehicle filled up. The remote app may take longer to normalize as it uses a “lifetime” MPG reading.
Q: Do I need to send in my factory cluster?
A. Nope! We are sending you a factory fresh unit.
